Dear Wendy,
I read your article in the local newspaper with great interest. Like you, I am very concerned about the chemicals, additives etc. in our food and our environment in so many ways. Apart from this, I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and many sensitivities of many kinds. I found I have had relapses of many weeks at times, to discover later that weed killer has been used in the reserve (council-owned land) behind me, also on the road near where I lived prior to moving here, so pretty sure this is no 'coincidence'. I had the male person who is in charge of parks etc. here a few years ago, and asked him if I could be notified when they were going to spray near here (I never have been) as I explained my reasons for asking. He informed me that it was harmless, as the men doing the spraying never wear masks or protective clothing, in fact, he added it could be sprayed in your face and not do any harm. I was speechless!!! I gave up - in disgust I think it was, and disbelief. I still am when I think about it. When there are people like that in charge of our environment, so your article of your opinions really touched a chord, apart from the fact we have very similar opinions and concern for not only our health and welfare (meaning people in general) but also for the environment, be it flora or fauna, and my concern is for the future health of our children, grandchildren and our very planet.
